The Cookery School at Ann's Smart School of Cookery comes alive when filled with the sound of knives on chopping boards and the cheerful banter of teams working together. Our purpose-built kitchen in Canary Wharf, just moments from West India Quay Station, hosts up to 20 guests in a U-shaped configuration that puts everyone right in the heart of the action. Red barstools pop against sleek countertops while exposed wooden beams and original brickwork create that perfect balance between professional kitchen and welcoming space. Natural light streams through, illuminating state-of-the-art cooking stations where your group will gather to slice, dice, and create together. Each station comes fully equipped with premium appliances, giving everyone the tools they need to craft restaurant-quality dishes. We've designed the space specifically for interactive culinary experiences, whether you're planning a corporate team-building session, birthday celebration, or hen party with a difference. Our founder Ann Hood, who you might recognise from BBC MasterChef, often leads classes alongside our professional chefs, sharing techniques that transform nervous cooks into confident creators. The layout ensures everyone can see demonstrations clearly and participate fully, from mastering knife skills to perfecting pasta dough. What makes our events special is how naturally cooking brings people together.
