About BAO King's Cross
Our team at BAO King's Cross brings the energy of Taiwan's street food culture right to 4 Pancras Square. The space tells its own story through mid-century wood paneling that runs along the walls, while our Bauhaus-red flooring adds a bold pop of color underfoot. Above, Isamu Noguchi's paper Akari light sculptures cast a soft glow that transforms throughout the day. We've designed our menu around xiao chi—small eats meant for sharing—alongside hearty rice bowls and soul-warming noodles. Our kitchen team takes particular pride in the 40 Day Aged Beef Rice and Taipei Beef Noodle Soup, both recipes we've perfected over countless iterations. The BAO Bakery counter serves sweet baos and bubble teas that guests can enjoy here or take away. For private gatherings, our Mezzanine Room sits above the main dining area and welcomes up to 12 guests. We've installed retractable windows that open to keep you connected with the buzz below, plus a vintage-style call button when you need our attention. The room works brilliantly for team dinners where conversation flows as easily as the food. When you need the entire venue, we can accommodate 48 seated guests or transform the space for standing receptions of up to 120 people. Our team has hosted everything from startup celebrations to birthday parties, adjusting the layout and menu to match each event's vibe. The open kitchen adds theater to any gathering—your guests can watch our chefs hand-fold baos and toss noodles while they mingle. We're open for regular dining, takeaway, and delivery throughout the week, but we especially love when groups take over the space and make it their own for the evening.
