Friday nights at BAR161 come alive when the cocktail shakers start their rhythm and the karaoke mics warm up. We've carved out our own corner of Mare Street, just a short walk from London Fields, where birthday celebrations spill from our main bar into the private karaoke room upstairs. Our ground floor bar holds 75-85 people comfortably - enough space for guests to mingle with drinks in hand while others claim their spot near the bar for our signature cocktails. Head up to the second floor and you'll find our karaoke room, a more intimate space for 25-30 of your closest friends to belt out classics until midnight. We keep the main venue open until 2am on Fridays and Saturdays, giving everyone plenty of time to celebrate. When you book the entire venue, both floors become your private playground. Wedding anniversaries often start with toasts downstairs before the party moves upstairs for karaoke battles. Family gatherings tend to spread across both spaces naturally - the younger crowd usually gravitates toward the karaoke while others prefer chatting over cocktails below. Our PA system connects both floors, and we've made sure wheelchair access is available throughout. For private bookings, we require a £1,000 minimum spend (£500 deposit) for the main bar alone, or £1,100 (£600 deposit) when you want both floors. Our drink packages help stretch your budget - £170 gets you 20 beers plus 5 bottles of Prosecco or wine. Friday drink specials make celebrations even sweeter. We provide the Wi-Fi, the atmosphere, and the cocktails - you bring the people and the party spirit. Whether it's a milestone birthday or just because, we're here Friday and Saturday from 5pm to help you celebrate properly.
