The velvet curtains at Bardo St James's drew back each evening to reveal something magical - a slice of 1960s Rome transported to the heart of London's St James's district. We created this space as an homage to the Dolce Vita era, where every corner told a story through Murano light fittings casting warm glows across gold-leaf details. Our venue offered three distinct spaces for celebrations and gatherings. The main restaurant welcomed up to 110 seated guests, while our bar area accommodated 50 standing - perfect for cocktail receptions with live music floating through the air. For more intimate occasions, we had a private dining room that seated 16, where business dinners and family celebrations unfolded around Chef Graziano Bonacina's contemporary Italian menu, featuring seasonal ingredients sourced from Italy and the UK. The crown jewel for party planners was our Kinnaird Lounge. This adaptable space transformed from an elegant dinner setting for 30 to a vibrant party venue for 90 standing guests. With its own private bar and DJ booth, the lounge became whatever our guests needed - from product launches with live presentations to birthday celebrations that danced until late. Music was the heartbeat of Bardo St James's. Every night, performers took to our stage, filling the space with everything from Sinatra standards to passionate Italian ballads. These weren't background performances - they were experiences that had guests pausing mid-conversation, transported by the melodies. Our team understood that hosting an event meant trusting us with your special moments. From coordinating with our kitchen for bespoke menus to arranging the perfect playlist with our resident musicians, we worked to ensure each gathering reflected the host's vision.
