About Bow Street Tavern
Five floors of history await at Bow Street Tavern, where the original headquarters of London's first police force has been transformed into one of Covent Garden's most versatile party venues. Since 1763, this building has watched over the theatre district, and today we're carrying on that tradition of bringing people together - just with considerably more gin and karaoke. Each floor tells its own story. Our main bar combines the warmth of a traditional British pub with contemporary touches, where groups gather around plates of fish & chips and proper burgers. Head upstairs and you'll discover The Constabulary, our private dining room that seats up to 20 guests, wrapped in William Morris wallpaper and decorated with police memorabilia from the building's past. But we know parties need options. That's why we created the Records Room - our dedicated karaoke space that holds up to 30 people, complete with professional sound system and yes, a proper disco ball. For those who prefer their entertainment under the stars, our roof terrace offers sweeping views across Covent Garden's rooftops, with retractable awnings and heaters keeping the party going whatever the weather throws at us. The Gin Terrace sits between, a covered outdoor space with its own bar stocked with over 30 varieties of gin. It's become the go-to spot for after-work celebrations and birthday gatherings alike. We also screen live sports throughout the venue, because nothing brings people together quite like a crucial match.
