About Chiswick House & Gardens
The moment you step through our gates at Chiswick House & Gardens, you're entering 300 years of celebration history. We've been hosting gatherings since the 18th century, and today our 65-acre estate continues to provide couples and party planners with spaces that feel both grand and intimate. Our main showpiece remains the villa itself - Lord Burlington's architectural masterpiece where up to 90 guests can witness your ceremony beneath the spectacular domed saloon. The natural light that floods through the dome creates something magical during afternoon ceremonies, while evening events take on a different character entirely as the ornate galleries glow under subtle lighting. We can accommodate 80 for seated dinners here, surrounded by one of the finest collections of art and architecture outside central London. During warmer months, many couples choose our licensed outdoor courtyards. The Inner Courtyard and House Forecourt each tell their own story - one more intimate and enclosed, the other opening onto the gardens. Both hold 90 for ceremonies, though we often see drinks receptions spill out to accommodate over 120 guests who naturally want to explore the grounds. For larger celebrations, our Garden Pavilion transforms evening receptions. This semi-permanent structure features ivory interiors and chandelier lighting that creates an elegant backdrop for up to 200 guests. We've found it works particularly well when couples want their ceremony in the historic house followed by dinner and dancing in a more contemporary space. Our events team works alongside trusted caterers, florists, and entertainers who know these spaces inside out. While we don't have accommodation on-site, Chiswick's excellent transport links mean your guests can easily reach us from hotels throughout West London.
