About Food Partnership Clubhouse
Our former golf clubhouse sits high on the South Downs, just south of Devil's Dyke, where the chalk grasslands stretch out in every direction. We've transformed this characterful building into the Food Partnership Clubhouse, a meeting space that brings people together while supporting our community food initiatives across Brighton & Hove. The building works brilliantly for groups of up to 50 people. Our main meeting room opens onto those incredible downland views through large windows that flood the space with natural light. We've kept the original clubhouse feel while making practical updates - there's a fully equipped kitchen for catering your own events, smaller break-out rooms when you need to split into groups, and plenty of free parking right outside. Being part of the Wilding Waterhall rewilding project means your meetings happen in the heart of one of the city's most ambitious conservation areas. The A27 brings you straight here, but once you arrive, the only sounds are birdsong and wind through the grass. We find teams really value this breathing space for their away days and strategy sessions. Beyond corporate meetings, we host workshops, training sessions, and small conferences throughout the year. Our wellbeing groups meet here regularly, and we run nature tours that help visitors understand the landscape restoration happening all around us. The kitchen means celebration events work well too - we've had everything from team achievements to project launches here. Recent work by our volunteers and local funders has improved accessibility throughout the building and added sustainable heating systems. Every booking directly supports the Brighton & Hove Food Partnership's work in food growing, healthy eating programs, and community projects across the city. The space tells its own story of transformation - from private golf club to community resource.
