About Guild of Fine Food
The demonstration kitchen at Guild of Fine Food gets plenty of action during our cooking workshops and food tastings. We're right there on 42 Southwark Street, with Borough Market's buzz just around the corner and London Bridge Station a quick walk away. Our space works brilliantly for parties because it's not your typical corporate venue. The bright, open-plan area has those gorgeous herringbone floors that everyone comments on, and natural light pours in through the windows all day. We've hosted everything from birthday celebrations with live cooking demonstrations to corporate parties where teams compete in our kitchen using the professional Falcon range cookers and Rangemaster ovens. The demonstration kitchen is the real centerpiece - guests love watching chefs at work or getting hands-on themselves. We've got all the professional kit you'd expect, plus a warehouse area with walk-in chillers and freezers if you're bringing in special ingredients or storing celebration cakes. The projector and AV setup means you can share photos during speeches or run cooking videos between courses. What makes parties here special is the flexibility. We operate on a dry-hire basis, so you can bring in your preferred caterers or work with local chefs who know our kitchen inside out. Some groups organize wine tastings using our facilities, others throw full dinner parties with guests helping prepare courses. The ground-level access makes load-in easy, whether you're bringing decorations or cases of champagne. Our combination of professional kitchen facilities and social space creates possibilities you won't find elsewhere.
