About Hawksmoor Spitalfields
The original Hawksmoor started right here in Spitalfields, and we've been serving East London's best steaks since day one. Our building sits between the bustle of Spitalfields Market and the curry houses of Brick Lane, just a 2-minute walk from Shoreditch High Street station. We built our reputation on 35-day dry-aged beef from grass-fed native breed cattle, cooked over real charcoal. The Sunday roast has won "UK's Best" twice, though we're equally proud of our sustainable seafood caught off British coasts. Everything comes from suppliers we know personally – the farmers, fishermen, and cheese makers who share our obsession with quality. For private dining and parties, we have two distinct spaces. The Vesta Tilley Room upstairs seats 35 to 55 guests in its own dedicated area, perfect for birthday dinners, corporate lunches, or any gathering where you want the full Hawksmoor experience without sharing the room. Downstairs, our Spitalfields Bar holds up to 70 people for cocktail parties and standing events. The bar has twice been named the world's best restaurant cocktail bar – it's where we let our bartenders experiment with seasonal ingredients and forgotten British spirits. The basement bar has its own entrance and feels completely different from the restaurant above. Dark wood, leather banquettes, and cocktails served in vintage glassware create an atmosphere that works equally well for after-work drinks or late-night celebrations. We can arrange anything from canapés to our full menu down there. Whether you book the private dining room for a sit-down feast or take over the bar for cocktails and small plates, you'll get the same careful sourcing and straightforward cooking that made Hawksmoor what it is today.
