About Institute of Contemporary Arts
The Institute of Contemporary Arts brings together historic architecture and contemporary culture right in the heart of London on The Mall. We've been hosting everything from intimate boardroom meetings to grand wedding receptions in our Grade I listed building, where original Regency plasterwork meets cutting-edge presentation technology. Our Nash and Brandon Rooms remain the crown jewels of the venue. With their floor-to-ceiling windows opening onto balconies, your guests can step outside for views of St James's Park, Big Ben, and the London Eye. These rooms welcome up to 150 people for standing receptions or 90 for seated dinners and ceremonies. The original architectural details create an atmosphere you won't find in modern event spaces—think ornate ceiling mouldings and the kind of natural light that photographers dream about. For presentations and screenings, we offer two cinema spaces seating 185 and 45 respectively. Our main theatre transforms to accommodate 350 standing guests, complete with professional lighting systems that we regularly use for fashion shows, product launches, and live performances. Corporate teams particularly appreciate the built-in screens in our boardrooms and the flexibility to arrange training sessions in banquet-style layouts. Our location between Downing Street, Piccadilly Circus, and Buckingham Palace puts you at the centre of everything, with Charing Cross station just a short walk away. The Rochelle Canteen handles all our catering, from working lunches to wedding banquets, while our bar keeps the conversation flowing at evening receptions. We've hosted civil ceremonies in the morning, corporate AGMs in the afternoon, and concert performances in the evening—sometimes all in the same week. Each space adapts to what you need, whether that's a cinema setup for your annual summit or theatre lighting for your next exhibition opening.
