About Kemble House Studio
The windows are what everyone notices first at Kemble House Studio - a whole wall of them flooding our 700-square-foot space with that perfect north-facing light photographers dream about. We're tucked inside a converted Victorian warehouse in Forest Hill, where the original brick walls and soaring ceilings create an atmosphere that works brilliantly for both creative projects and celebrations. Our kitchen is the heart of the space, built around a Smeg double range cooker that's seen countless food photography sessions and impromptu party preparations. The large island with its induction hob becomes a natural gathering spot, while our Smeg fridge keeps everything properly chilled. That big oak table fits 8-10 people comfortably for seated dinners, though we can squeeze in chairs for up to 36 when needed. We've gathered quite the collection over the years - props for styling shots, proper glassware, and enough cutlery for a proper dinner party. The Cambo stand stays ready for professional shoots, while our high-speed fibre broadband handles whatever your event throws at it. There's a parking space right outside, plus plenty of free spots on the surrounding streets. The space transforms depending on what you need. Photography teams love the natural light and exposed brick backdrop. Workshop leaders appreciate how the acoustics work for group discussions. Corporate groups use it for away days when they want somewhere different from the usual meeting room. Small parties and wine tastings flow naturally through the space, with the kitchen island becoming a bar and that oak table the center of conversation. Music needs to wrap up by 10:30pm and we ask everyone to head home by 11:15pm - our neighbors appreciate it. You're welcome to bring your own drinks and arrange whatever catering works for your event.
