The Tea Building's soaring windows flood our dining room at Lyle's with the kind of light that makes everything look better – your guests, the food, even Monday morning meetings. We've stripped things back to the essentials here in Shoreditch: white walls that showcase the building's original industrial bones, those impossibly high ceilings that give conversations room to breathe, and enough space for 60 of your favorite people. Chef James Lowe built our reputation on doing one thing brilliantly: letting British ingredients speak for themselves. Our menus change daily because we work with what's genuinely at its best – you might find monkfish paired with heritage tomatoes one week, quail with girolles and baked peach the next. We handle lunch as à la carte, giving your guests freedom to choose, while our evening tasting menus create a shared experience that gets people talking. Our Guest Series brings some of the world's most interesting chefs through our kitchen doors, turning dinner parties into something genuinely memorable. We've hosted everything from product launches where the food becomes part of the story, to birthday dinners where guests still message us months later about that dish they can't forget. The space works beautifully for intimate gatherings – there's something about the combination of industrial architecture and carefully considered food that makes people relax and connect. Private parties here feel less like events and more like having talented friends cook for you in an extraordinarily well-lit room. After 11 years of service, we closed our doors on May 18, 2025, as Chef Lowe moves on to new projects. The minimum spend model we operated on always kept things straightforward – you focus on your guests, we handle everything else.
