About Menier Lounge
Step inside our first-floor space at Menier Lounge and you'll find yourself in a former chocolate factory that's been transformed into something quite special. The original cast iron columns still stand proud in their distinctive red, while exposed brickwork and industrial beams remind everyone we're in a Grade II listed building with real history. We've kept all the character of this Southwark gem while making it work beautifully for modern parties and events. Natural light pours through our floor-to-ceiling windows, illuminating the wooden floors and the mix of plush velvet sofas and period furniture pieces we've carefully chosen. Trailing plants soften the industrial edges, creating pockets of greenery throughout the space. Our main lounge holds 60 guests comfortably, but when the weather cooperates, we open up to our walled garden and can accommodate up to 100 people. The garden's become a favorite spot during summer parties - it's completely private and gives everyone a chance to step outside without leaving the venue. For party hosts, we've thought through the practical details. There's a full kitchen for caterers to work their magic, three toilets so nobody's queuing, and superfast WiFi that actually works when all your guests are posting photos. We also have a 65-inch screen available if you need to show videos or presentations during your celebration. The space adapts to whatever party you're throwing - we've hosted everything from milestone birthdays and wedding receptions to wine tastings and themed dinner parties. Corporate celebrations work equally well here, with plenty of room for networking events and product launches.
