About Old English Inns - Rothley Court Hotel
Walk through our oak-paneled entrance and you'll immediately feel the weight of history at Rothley Court Hotel. This 16th-century manor house has been welcoming guests for centuries, and we're proud to continue that tradition today. The original stained glass windows cast colorful patterns across the floors, while the same oak paneling that witnessed meetings about abolishing the slave trade in the 1700s still lines our walls. Our 30 bedrooms spread between the main manor house and court mews building, each furnished with en-suite bathrooms, flat-screen TVs, and complimentary Wi-Fi. Some guests prefer the character-filled rooms in the main house, while others enjoy the quieter mews accommodation - both offer that perfect balance of period features and modern comfort. The Babington Restaurant serves seasonal dishes in what used to be the manor's grand dining room, and our Babington Bar has become famous for afternoon teas served beside the crackling log fire. For weddings and meetings, we have several function rooms that can accommodate up to 100 guests. The largest opens directly onto our grounds, where a trout-filled river winds past our 11th-century chapel - yes, you can actually get married in a medieval chapel on our property. Those 10 acres include our carefully maintained rose walks that bloom spectacularly in summer, perfect for wedding photographs or a quiet stroll between meetings. We keep free parking spaces for all our guests, and if you're bringing your dog, just let us know - we have specific rooms where four-legged friends are welcome. The National Space Centre is just a short drive away, and Rothley Park Golf Club practically neighbors us. But honestly, with the chapel bells echoing across our grounds and the river babbling past your window, you might not want to leave at all.
