About Old Fountain
The Old Fountain has been our family's pride since 1964, serving the Shoreditch community from our spot just steps from Old Street station. We've kept the character that regulars love – the original dartboard still gets plenty of action, and yes, our famous fish tank remains a conversation starter at the ground-floor bar. Our roof terrace transforms throughout the year. During summer, eighty of your guests can spread out among the plants and greenery we've cultivated up there. When temperatures drop, we fire up the heaters so your party keeps going comfortably. The terrace works brilliantly for birthday celebrations, work leaving dos, or any gathering where you want your own private outdoor space in the heart of East London. Beer drives everything we do here. Nine handpulls and twenty taps mean we're pouring something for everyone – The Kernel Pale Ale and Paulaner Weisse flow constantly, while our rotating selection brings in new craft kegs and real ales weekly. Your beer-loving friends will appreciate the variety, and we're always happy to guide anyone through their options. Food comes courtesy of our kitchen team at Laughing Yak, who've made quite a name for themselves with Nepalese dishes alongside reimagined pub favorites. The lunchtime Thali has become legendary among local workers, and Sunday roasts regularly sell out. For private events, we handle all the catering in-house, adapting menus to suit your celebration.
