We've been serving Birmingham since this beautiful Victorian building transformed from a library and bank into The Old Joint Stock Pub & Theatre. Standing proudly on Temple Row West in the city centre, our Grade II listed venue tells its own story through ornate ceilings, original architectural details, and that unmistakable atmosphere only a building from 1862 can provide. Our four distinct event spaces each carry their own personality. The crown jewel sits on our second floor - an 80-seat black box studio theatre that hosts everything from new writing to musical theatre and improv comedy throughout the year. For private celebrations, you might prefer our more intimate rooms, where Victorian features create natural conversation starters while your guests enjoy British pub classics made with seasonal ingredients. Fuller's London Pride flows alongside our other cask ales at the bar, where we've watched countless birthday parties unfold, wedding receptions sparkle, and business meetings turn into productive partnerships. The building's former life as a bank left us with impressive high ceilings and grand windows that flood your events with natural light during the day.
