The theatre charcoal grill takes center stage at Opera Grill, where we serve 400 guests across our grand Grade II listed building on Pepper Street. Our neoclassical Greek façade has been a Chester landmark for generations, and stepping inside reveals a striking mix of industrial design with luxurious touches—exposed brick walls meet burnt orange leather furniture inspired by French design house Hermès, while polished concrete floors reflect the warm glow from our wood-burning ovens. Our chefs work their magic with internationally inspired dishes, including the Treacle Steak Experience—an 800g Côte De Boeuf that marinates for 24 hours in black garlic and treacle before hitting the grill, served alongside Wagyu bone marrow and beef dripping chips. Every Friday and Saturday, our first-floor Music Lounge comes alive with performances from local and touring acts, while Sundays bring the soul-stirring sounds of our gospel choir. For private dining and parties, we offer several distinct spaces. Our intimate private dining room seats up to 16 guests and comes equipped with AV and projection facilities, perfect for corporate presentations or celebration dinners. The all-weather terrace transforms any gathering with its retractable roof and heating system, accommodating up to 75 seated guests—we've hosted everything from wedding receptions to corporate celebrations here. Families feel right at home with our children's menu and baby changing facilities, while business guests appreciate the Wi-Fi throughout. We provide accessible bathrooms and limited disabled access, with paid parking available at the rear and side of the restaurant.
