The shelves at Peter Harrington stretch from floor to ceiling, filled with rare books dating back to the 15th century. We've been dealing in fine books since 1969, and our Dover Street shop has become something of a London institution for collectors and bibliophiles. When you step through our doors at 43 Dover Street, you're entering what many describe as a museum-like space where centuries of literature, science, and travel writing surround you. We regularly transform our bookshop into an extraordinary venue for private parties and events. The space accommodates up to 60 standing guests, with natural light flooding in during daytime events. Our wheelchair-accessible ground floor makes it easy for all your guests to enjoy the atmosphere. There's something magical about hosting drinks surrounded by first editions and historic manuscripts – it creates conversations you won't find anywhere else. Beyond our usual work of buying and selling rare books, we offer our expertise for commission bidding at auctions and can assist with library projects. As members of both the Antiquarian Booksellers Association and the International League of Antiquarian Booksellers, we maintain the highest standards in everything we do.
