Step through the frosted glass doors of The Prince Alfred on Formosa Street, and you'll find yourself in one of Maida Vale's most treasured Victorian pubs. We've spent years caring for this Grade II listed building, keeping every piece of original etched glass gleaming and each intricate mosaic tile in perfect condition. Those famous snob screens that divide our Victorian Bar? They're the same ones that have been here since the 1800s. We've recently given the whole place a thoughtful refresh, but don't worry - we haven't touched any of the features that make this pub special. Our Head Chef Reggie creates fresh British dishes that change with the seasons, and our bar stocks everything from proper cask ales to carefully chosen wines and cocktails we've perfected over the years. Once a month, we host supper clubs where local farmers bring their best produce straight to your plate. For parties and celebrations, we've got three distinct spaces. Our Victorian Bar works brilliantly for drinks receptions where guests love discovering the historic snob screens. The Dining Room upstairs suits seated dinners and more formal gatherings. But the real surprise is The Cellars - our underground private space that's become incredibly popular for birthday parties, leaving dos, and festive celebrations. The exposed brick walls and intimate atmosphere down there create something genuinely different from your typical party venue. We're just a few minutes' walk from both Warwick Avenue Station and Little Venice, with Lord's Cricket Ground practically on our doorstep.
