Engineers and academics have been gathering in our Queen's Building since its transformation into one of Bristol's most distinctive meeting venues. We're part of the University of Bristol's Faculty of Engineering, where cutting-edge research happens daily alongside professional conferences and industry workshops. Our main meeting space, the Bill Brown Suite, comfortably seats 270 delegates in classroom configuration. The room's flexibility means we regularly reconfigure it for different events - from technical presentations requiring our built-in projectors and screens to examination halls where natural light floods through the windows. The space works equally well for corporate training sessions, academic symposiums, or professional development workshops. After your morning sessions, delegates often spill out into our recently refurbished atrium. This bright, glass-roofed space has become a natural hub for coffee breaks and networking. Our on-site café keeps everyone fueled with hot drinks, cold beverages, and light meals throughout the day. Beyond the Bill Brown Suite, we maintain several traditional lecture theatres and teaching rooms that suit smaller groups or breakout sessions. What surprises many visitors is our roof terrace - few expect to find panoramic views across Bristol when they book an engineering faculty venue. It's become a favorite spot for evening receptions after day-long conferences. We're home to some remarkable facilities, including the UK's largest earthquake engineering laboratory, the Digital Manufacturing Lab, and our Dynamics Laboratory. While these aren't typically part of meeting packages, they add an authentic academic atmosphere that participants find energizing. Study rooms scattered throughout the building provide quiet spaces for preparation or small group discussions. Our venue regularly hosts academic conferences, industry seminars, technical workshops, and professional networking events, creating an environment where innovation and collaboration come naturally.
