We've been hosting extraordinary events in this Regency palace since it was built, and the silvered dragon clutching the Banqueting Room's centerpiece still catches people off guard every time. Our Indian-inspired architecture creates conversations before guests even step inside. The Banqueting Room welcomes up to 90 for seated dinners or 180 for standing receptions, with that famous dragon chandelier casting dramatic light across the theatrical space. When we open the Music Room for evening events, the nine lotus-shaped chandeliers illuminate walls decorated in Chinoiserie style - perfect for musical performances, ceremonies, or presentations with seating for 180. For smaller gatherings, we suggest the Red Drawing Room. The original 1820s dragon wallpaper and palm tree pillars remain exactly as they were, creating an intimate atmosphere for 30 dinner guests or 50 standing. This room works beautifully for both daytime and evening events. The William IV Room, with its hand-painted Chinese wallpaper and private garden access, accommodates up to 80 guests for receptions or meetings. Just a short walk from Brighton Station, we host corporate events, awards ceremonies, weddings, and civil ceremonies throughout our historic rooms. Our events team works with you to plan every detail, though we should mention - as a protected historic building, dancing and smoking aren't permitted. The preservation requirements mean your event happens surrounded by authentic Regency splendor rather than recreations. Whether you're planning an opulent dinner beneath the dragon chandelier or an intimate ceremony in rooms unchanged since 1820, we provide the setting while you create the memories.
