About Simmons Bar Shoreditch
The kitchen disco upstairs is where most of our birthday parties end up – it's basically a full-on kitchen fitted out with disco lights, and yes, people do dance on the counters. We run Simmons Bar Shoreditch across two floors on Curtain Road, right between Old Street and Shoreditch High Street stations, and each floor has its own personality. Downstairs you'll find our carousel-style booths that spin (slowly, don't worry), while upstairs transforms into party central with that infamous kitchen disco setup. Our Happy Hour runs 4pm to 9pm Sunday through Friday – that's when you get 2-for-1 cocktails, £2.50 single spirit mixers, and £3 beers. Saturdays we switch it up with 2-for-1 cocktails and our £15 cocktail teapots during the same hours. Monday means margaritas, Tuesday brings out the teapots, and by the weekend, both floors are usually packed with birthday groups, hen parties, and work celebrations. For private events, we can section off different areas depending on your group size. The full venue fits 400 people across both floors, with two bars running and our photobooth set up for those classic party pics. Our function room holds 180 guests and comes with its own private bar and DJ booth – perfect when you want your own space but still want that Simmons energy. We've also got a semi-private area on the ground floor that works well for smaller groups who want to be part of the main bar atmosphere. The retro decor is intentionally over-the-top – think vintage wallpaper, neon signs, and furniture that looks like it came from your nan's house if she was really into parties. Our bartenders know every cocktail backwards and can handle everything from quick after-work drinks to full-blown birthday celebrations that close the place down.
