About Simmons Manchester
Our lightning bolt ceiling catches everyone's eye first - it runs the length of the bar straight to our stage where bands play every Thursday night. We're Simmons Manchester on 78 Deansgate, and we've built something different here in this 400-capacity space that feels more like stepping into someone's house party than a typical bar. The front room has this kitchen-style bar setup where our bartenders work their magic during Manchester's longest Happy Hour. People love grabbing seats in our VIP Waltzers - actual fairground cars we've converted into booth seating. There's also an old recording studio booth we kept from the building's previous life, complete with the original soundproofing. Thursday nights get packed when bands take the stage at 8 PM. The rest of the week, our DJs keep things moving while groups pile into the karaoke rooms - we've got over 50,000 songs loaded up, and groups of up to 10 can book their own sessions. Sunday through Thursday, we run industry nights where hospitality workers get 50% off everything, including the New York-style pizzas from Holy Slice operating out of our kitchen. We handle all sorts of bookings - birthday parties where people take over the Waltzers, work groups who come for after-work drinks and end up staying for karaoke, private hires where companies book out the whole space.
