About Sloans
We've been welcoming groups to Sloans since 1797, making us Glasgow's oldest bar and restaurant. Our three-floor building in the city center gives you plenty of options for meetings, from boardroom presentations to larger corporate gatherings. The Grand Ballroom works brilliantly for company presentations and conferences. The vaulted ceiling creates excellent acoustics, and we can arrange seating for up to 100 delegates theatre-style, or 120 if you prefer a more informal networking setup with buffet service. The room comes with its own private bar, which we find helps during those important coffee breaks. Our First-Floor Restaurant maintains all the vintage features from the building's history - exposed beams, original fixtures - while providing a professional setting for meetings of up to 55 people seated, or 60 for standing receptions. Many companies use this space for training days or team workshops. For smaller executive meetings or brainstorming sessions, we have the Snug Bar. It's whisky-inspired (this is Glasgow after all), and creates a relaxed environment for groups of 15 seated or 20 standing. The Private Dining Room handles boardroom-style meetings for up to 24, with the rustic charm helping create a less formal atmosphere that often gets better results. Wireless broadband runs throughout all our spaces and we activate it wherever you need it. Between meetings, your team can enjoy our famous Mac 'n' Cheese in the bistro, or during summer months, take a break in our fairy-lit beer garden. We've hosted everything from AGMs to product launches, team-building days to retirement presentations. Our Friday Night Ceilidhs and EatFilm nights might be what we're known for publicly, but during business hours, we're equally experienced at providing professional meeting spaces with a bit more character than your average conference venue.
