Our exposed brick walls have seen countless celebrations since we opened right next to Cambridge Railway Station at 2 Station Square. The industrial beams overhead and the open kitchen that lets you watch our chefs at work create an atmosphere that feels both relaxed and special - perfect for parties that want something beyond the typical pub experience. We built The Sidings specifically for private events, and it's become our most requested space. With room for 35 seated guests or 60 standing, the function room gives you your own corner of the pub while still feeling connected to the energy of the main bar. The outdoor terrace becomes an extension of your party space when the weather cooperates, giving guests room to move between inside and out. Food-wise, we keep things British and seasonal. Our beer-battered fish with triple-cooked chips remains a crowd favorite at parties, though we can arrange buffets or seated meals depending on what works for your group. The bar stocks craft beers alongside wines and seasonal cocktails - we even let you control the music through the Young's on Tap App, so your playlist sets the mood. The Sidings works brilliantly for birthday parties where you want everyone together but separate from the main pub crowd. Office Christmas parties love the flexibility of moving between seated dinner and standing drinks. Leaving dos appreciate having the terrace for speeches and the main space for mingling. Being steps from the railway station means no one has to worry about complicated journeys home.
