The exposed brick walls of our Georgian townhouse on Union Street tell stories from centuries past, while the vintage furnishings we've carefully collected create the perfect backdrop for your party at Tap & Bottle. We've transformed this Grade II listed building into something special - part wine bar, part gallery, with our upstairs 'Snug' showcasing rotating works from emerging local artists who often pop by for a glass themselves. Our wine selection is what really sets us apart for private celebrations. We pour from over 120 bottles, focusing on sustainable European producers, and our by-the-glass menu changes regularly - there's always something new to discover. The mezzanine space works brilliantly for larger parties, accommodating up to 70 guests standing, while the intimate 'Snug' upstairs is perfect for smaller groups of 25-30. We've hosted everything from milestone birthdays to engagement parties, and the original features like the distressed wooden flooring and cosy fireplace create an atmosphere that feels both historic and relaxed. When it comes to food, we keep things simple but special. Our cheese and charcuterie boards feature selections from Borough Market just down the road, and our toasties have become somewhat legendary among regulars.
