About Tara Theatre
Our building caught the Mayor of London's eye for good reason when Sadiq Khan opened Tara Theatre in 2016. We've created something unique here in Earlsfield - the country's first multicultural theatre, where Eastern and Western architectural elements come together in ways that make every event feel special. The main theatre seats 100 people in plush comfort, and we've kept the exposed brickwork that gives the space real character. Our technical team loves showing off the lighting and sound systems - they're genuinely impressive and make conferences as dynamic as theatrical performances. We host everything from corporate presentations to wedding ceremonies in here, and the acoustics work beautifully for both spoken word and music. Our smaller studio holds 30 people and gets gorgeous natural light through the windows. The oak wood flooring adds warmth, and we find it's particularly popular for workshop sessions and team meetings where people want a more intimate setting. Groups often comment on how the natural materials make the space feel calming yet energizing. Between events, guests naturally gather in our foyer or spill out onto the patio garden. We've watched countless networking sessions happen organically in these spaces, and the outdoor area becomes magical for summer receptions. The whole building is fully wheelchair accessible - we made sure everyone can enjoy every corner of our venue. We're rather proud of our A++ energy rating and solar panels on the sedum roofs. Being just 30 seconds from Earlsfield station makes life easier for everyone - it's only 10 minutes to Waterloo, so London professionals can pop over for lunchtime meetings or evening events without the usual travel stress.
