About The Battersea Barge
The Battersea Barge has been our home on the Thames since we transformed this 1930s Dutch vessel into something quite special. From our mooring in Nine Elms, you'll find yourself face-to-face with Battersea Power Station - those four chimneys make quite the backdrop for wedding photos or sunset drinks. We've kept much of the barge's original character while creating three distinct decks that work brilliantly for different parts of your event. The lower deck seats around 75 guests comfortably, perfect for your ceremony or dinner, while the upper decks give everyone room to mingle with a drink in hand. Our total capacity reaches 150 people, though we find most weddings and parties flow beautifully with 100-120 guests. Our kitchen team makes pizzas fresh throughout events - proper wood-fired style that guests always rave about. Behind the bar, we pour draught beers alongside our wine selection and cocktails. The stage comes fully equipped with professional lighting and sound systems, whether you're planning speeches, live music, or a DJ set that gets everyone dancing. Being licensed for wedding ceremonies means couples can say their vows right here on the water. Corporate groups often book us for meetings that feel nothing like the usual conference room - there's something about being on the river that changes the whole dynamic. The barge rocks gently with the tide, just enough to remind you where you are without anyone getting seasick.
