Behind an unassuming barbershop door in Grand Arcade, we've created something special at The Domino Club—a basement haven where brass gleams under low lights and music fills every corner. Our handmade brass bar top catches the eye first, then the rich wood paneling and worn leather booths that have hosted countless conversations over perfectly mixed drinks. Five nights a week, we bring in musicians who understand what makes a room come alive. Jazz quartets, soul singers, blues guitarists—they perform on our intimate stage while guests stand close enough to feel the bass notes through the parquet floor. Some nights you'll catch local Leeds artists; other times we feature touring acts from across Europe and beyond. Our bartenders work with seasonal ingredients to build drinks that go beyond the usual suspects. Yes, we make the classics properly, but we also experiment with house-made syrups and unexpected combinations that change with the seasons. The wine list focuses on smaller producers, and we keep interesting beers on rotation for those who prefer hops to gin. The space itself tells a story—leather booths line the walls for those lucky enough to snag one of our limited table reservations, though most prefer to stand near the stage where the energy peaks. The 1920s aesthetic isn't forced; it emerged naturally from the building's bones and our commitment to creating somewhere that feels removed from the world above. We're tucked into the basement of a Grade II listed building, which means no wheelchair access—something we wish we could change but the architecture won't allow.
