About The Duchess
Our second-floor dining room at The Duchess on Duke Street has become quite the spot for birthday celebrations and business gatherings since we finished our refurbishment in 2022. The space comfortably seats up to 34 guests and comes with its own private bar, which means your party won't have to navigate the main pub downstairs when they fancy another drink. We've kept the traditional British pub feel with our wood-paneled walls and high ceilings, but everything feels fresh and contemporary now. The room works brilliantly for all sorts of events - we've hosted everything from milestone birthday dinners to team lunches where colleagues can actually hear each other speak. Having that private bar really changes the dynamic; bartenders can craft our reimagined classic cocktails right there in the room, or pour from our selection of wines and craft beers without anyone missing out on conversations. Our kitchen prepares proper British classics using ingredients from local suppliers - the Sunday roasts are particularly popular for weekend celebrations. We can work with you to create a menu that suits your event, whether that's sharing platters for casual drinks or a full three-course dinner. The space has free Wi-Fi if anyone needs to quickly check emails during a business lunch, and we're happy to accommodate any technical requirements you might have. Getting here couldn't be easier - we're tucked away in Marylebone, walking distance from Oxford Circus, Bond Street, and Marble Arch stations. Your guests can pop in straight from Oxford Street shopping or the office. We're also dog-friendly throughout the pub, and there's a smoking area for those who need it.
