The Engine House combines the raw character of Manchester's industrial past with everything you need for productive meetings. Walk through our doors and you'll find exposed brick walls that tell the story of this historic mill building, while Anthony Burgess's own furniture and musical instruments add an unexpected creative touch to the space. We've kept the best of the building's original features - the brickwork has that distinctive feel you'd find in a New York comedy club, but we've made sure the technology is completely up to date. Our audio-visual setup handles everything from presentations to video conferences, and we can arrange the seating however works best for your group. The space comfortably fits up to 100 people theatre-style, though most meetings work beautifully with smaller numbers too. Our licensed bar sits just off the main room, giving you a natural space for those important coffee breaks or post-meeting drinks. We handle all the catering in-house, whether you need working lunches, buffet spreads, or drinks receptions. The team here knows every corner of the building and we're always around to help things run smoothly. Past guests particularly appreciate how welcoming we are - Ian and the rest of us take pride in making sure you feel at home from the moment you arrive. The building itself creates an atmosphere that's both professional and relaxed, which seems to help ideas flow more freely than in traditional meeting rooms. We're part of the International Anthony Burgess Foundation, right in the heart of Salford.
