Our two meeting rooms at The Folk of Gloucester sit in the Edshed, a purpose-built space tucked away in the secret garden behind our 500-year-old Tudor timber-framed buildings. Each room offers something special - Courtyard View opens completely onto the garden through bifold windows that flood the space with natural light, while Tower View frames St Nicholas Church Tower in one direction and the Cathedral Tower in the other. We've designed both rooms with practical touches that make your meetings run smoothly. There's a fridge in each room and boiling water on tap, so whether you're hosting a morning strategy session or an afternoon workshop, refreshments are always at hand. The rooms work equally well for small training sessions, team gatherings, or community meetings, and we're happy to accommodate weekend and evening bookings when you need that extra flexibility. The Edshed forms part of The Folk of Gloucester, where we've transformed the old Folk Museum into a working heritage community site. Throughout our Tudor buildings, you'll find exhibitions showcasing Gloucester's history, from our reconstructed Victorian kitchen to displays of traditional crafts. The cottage garden offers a peaceful spot for breaks between sessions, and our café and bar provide proper refreshments when you need them.
