About The Honor Oak Pub
Our 1865 building has watched Forest Hill transform around it, and we've transformed right along with it. Step into The Honor Oak and you'll spot our living wall immediately – real plants climbing up the interior, breathing life into the space alongside the original stripped wooden floors we've carefully preserved. We've created distinct spaces for every kind of celebration. The Loft upstairs is our private sanctuary with its own bar, where up to 60 guests can party away from the main pub buzz. The wall-mounted screen up there gets plenty of use during match days, but we've hosted everything from milestone birthdays to intimate wedding receptions. The Conservatory opens directly onto our back garden, giving larger groups that indoor-outdoor flow that makes summer parties feel special. Speaking of the garden, we're particularly proud of our two outdoor spaces. The back garden is fully enclosed with heated cabanas – yes, actual cabanas in South East London – so your party keeps going even when the British weather doesn't cooperate. The Whiskey Room has become a favorite spot for smaller networking events and family gatherings, with its upcycled décor creating an atmosphere that's both relaxed and distinctive. Our kitchen serves up British classics with a twist, drawing inspiration from the diverse community around us. We pour craft beers from local South London breweries alongside Laine's beer from Brighton, supporting independent brewers who share our passion for quality. Whether you're planning an office party, a community fundraiser, or just want somewhere different for your birthday bash, we've got the space, the drinks, and over 150 years of experience making nights memorable.
