About The Lodge on Loch Goil
Our 12 acres of woodland stretching down to Loch Goil create the perfect Highland escape for your celebration. The main lodge holds seven bedrooms, each with its own character—from the room with hand-painted Victorian tiles to the one overlooking the old oak trees. We've kept the original features that make this place special, like the Daniel Cottier stained glass windows in the dining room where your guests will gather around the Inglenook fireplace. For smaller groups or couples wanting something different, we have the Seal Cabin right at the water's edge (you can literally hear the loch lapping against the deck), plus the Red Squirrel Cottage tucked into the trees. The Glennie Cottage by the mountain stream will be ready soon too. Our kitchen team works with local suppliers—the venison comes from the estate up the glen, and we grow herbs and vegetables in our own garden. The whisky collection in our bar represents distilleries from across Scotland, perfect for toasting after dinner. We handle intimate weddings, elopement packages, and corporate retreats, with exclusive use meaning the whole place becomes yours for the duration. The loch offers incredible photo opportunities at any time of day, but sunrise over the water is particularly special. Guests can take out our boats or borrow mountain bikes to explore the forestry tracks. We're just an hour from Glasgow, but it feels like you're in the heart of the Highlands. Our team has been creating weddings here for over twenty years, so we know how to handle everything from the ceremony logistics to late-night celebrations in the lodge.
