The Peacock sits right in the heart of Angel, just off Islington High Street, where we've been serving up proper British food and cold pints since taking over this historic pub. Our kitchen team works with HG Walter, the award-winning butcher, to bring you Sunday roasts that have become something of a local legend - think perfectly pink beef with all the trimmings and Yorkshire puddings that actually stand up properly. We've got two private spaces that work brilliantly for parties. The Gallery & Mezzanine upstairs can handle up to 90 people - it's where we host everything from 30th birthdays to company Christmas parties. The exposed brick walls and big windows overlooking the high street give it a proper London feel. For smaller gatherings, our Mezzanine area fits 30 comfortably and feels more like having your own private dining room above the pub. Tuesday nights get competitive with our pub quiz - teams of locals battle it out while tucking into our brunches (yes, we serve brunch food at quiz night because why not?). The main bar has multiple HD screens for match days, and we pour a solid selection of craft beers alongside the usual suspects. Our bartenders know their way around a cocktail shaker too - the espresso martinis have quite the following. Food-wise, we do British classics with a bit of swagger. Think fish and chips with mushy peas, proper pies with mash, and burgers that require both hands. Everything's made fresh in our kitchen using seasonal ingredients from local suppliers when we can. The whole place buzzes most nights - after-work drinks spill into birthday parties, which merge into late-night sessions. We're open seven days a week and can sort private hire for pretty much any event you're planning.
