Four generations of regulars have walked through our doors at The Pembroke Castle since the late 1860s, and we've learned exactly what makes a proper celebration. Here on Gloucester Avenue in Primrose Hill, we're one of the original 'Camden Castles' - though we like to think our function room has seen more birthday toasts than medieval battles. Our private function room sits tucked away from the main pub, giving your party its own space while still feeling part of the building's character. The room works brilliantly for everything from 21st birthdays to golden wedding anniversaries, baby showers to leaving dos. We've hosted them all, and our team knows how to adapt the space for each occasion. The traditional décor creates that proper pub atmosphere without feeling stuffy - think wooden beams and warm lighting rather than chrome and spotlights. When the weather cooperates, our beer garden becomes an extension of your party space. Nothing beats spilling out onto the terrace with a drink in hand, especially when you're just a stone's throw from Primrose Hill itself. The garden's particularly popular for summer celebrations and christening parties - plenty of room for kids to run about while adults catch up over a pint. Food-wise, we serve proper pub grub with a few modern touches. Our lamb shank gets requested for nearly every private dinner, and the Sunday roasts work perfectly for family celebrations. The bar stocks local ales alongside wines and spirits, and we're happy to arrange specific drinks for your event. We've got HD screens if you need them for presentations or want to catch the match during your party. Being dog-friendly means your four-legged friends can join the celebrations too.
