Every Thursday, our basement transforms into a proper indie haven when Feeling Gloomy takes over, and on Saturdays, Heavy Load brings the vintage rock vibes that keep people dancing till late. We're The Phoenix in Cavendish Square, tucked away just off Oxford Street, where two floors of completely different experiences await your next party or event. Our recent refurbishment brought in these brilliant neon lights that work perfectly with the chandeliers we kept from the original pub - Sam Minton's artwork now lines the walls, giving each corner its own personality. Upstairs maintains that traditional British pub feel with our swanky booths, while downstairs is where things get interesting for private events. We've hosted everything from raucous birthday parties to surprisingly professional corporate functions. The basement comes with its own private bar and full AV setup, which means your DJ can plug straight in, or we can set up presentations if you're mixing business with pleasure. Our team regularly rearranges the space - sometimes it's cabaret-style for comedy nights (Frankie Boyle and Katherine Ryan have both performed here), other times we clear it for dancing or set up table tennis for team building sessions. Food-wise, we do proper pub grub with a twist. Beer-battered haddock sits alongside our Chipotle Shrimp Po Boy, and the Fillet Steak Chimichurri Sub has become a bit of a legend. Behind the bar, we rotate craft beers from Deya and Beavertown, plus all the cocktails you'd expect for a proper night out. Being this close to Hyde Park and Buckingham Palace means we get an interesting mix - tourists pop in for lunch, then locals take over for quiz nights and weekend parties. Both floors have their own bars and AV capabilities, so whole venue hire gives you serious flexibility for any kind of celebration.
