About The Planque Gastronome's Club
Two railway arches in Haggerston house our distinctive 60-seat restaurant, where we bring together modern British cooking and an extraordinary collection of low-intervention wines. The Planque Gastronome's Club transforms these industrial vaults into something special - our 10-meter communal oak table runs through the heart of the space, encouraging conversation between guests who might arrive as strangers but often leave as friends. We've painted the walls cobalt blue and filled the room with modernist furniture pieces we've collected over the years. The open-plan layout means you can watch our chefs at work while you dine, creating an energy that fills the arches. Our seasonal menu changes regularly based on what our suppliers bring us, and we pair each dish with wines from our cellar - some bottles have been aging here for decades. For private parties and events, we can accommodate up to 40 guests. The space works brilliantly for birthday dinners where everyone sits together at our long oak table, or wine tastings where guests move between the dining area and our cellar. Corporate groups book us for team celebrations and client dinners - the railway arch acoustics create an intimate bubble perfect for conversation. Our membership program opens up even more possibilities. Members store their personal wine collections in our cellar, use the members' lounge for smaller gatherings, and get first access to our calendar of wine dinners and tastings. We also run a retail corner where guests can take home specialist ingredients and bottles from our list.
