Three floors of possibilities await at The Railway, where we've been welcoming Putney locals and party planners since 1889. Our exposed brick walls have witnessed everything from intimate birthday gatherings in The Snug to full-scale celebrations taking over all 650 guest spaces—and yes, The Police played their very first gig right here in 1977. We've kept the original character intact during our recent restoration. Green leather seating curves around wooden tables on the ground floor, while artwork from local artists brings color to every corner. The Lounge on our second floor comes equipped with its own dance floor and AV connections for presentations or DJ sets. Head up to our rooftop cocktail bar and you'll find a retractable covering that keeps the party going whatever the weather. Our kitchen team serves up proper Sunday roasts alongside seasonal dishes and hand-stretched pizzas. Behind the bar, we pour craft beers and mix cocktails that have become neighborhood favorites. Weekly quiz nights pack out the main bar, while our bottomless brunches on weekends draw crowds who appreciate both the food and the atmosphere. For private parties, we work with groups of all sizes. The Snug fits 20 for cozy celebrations, The Lounge handles 80 with room to dance, and the rooftop hosts 120 under the stars. Take over the whole building and we can accommodate your 650 guests across all three floors. Corporate events, weddings, milestone birthdays—we've hosted them all.
