As one of Manchester's oldest pubs, our Grade II-listed building stands just a short stroll from the Arndale Centre, The Lowry, and Manchester Opera House—though you won't find another pub quite like ours in the city. We recently gave our historic home a thoughtful refresh, keeping the original character intact while adding modern comforts our guests appreciate. Behind our bar, you'll discover an extensive gin collection alongside our rotating selection of cask ales, including our own Nicholson's Pale Ale brewed specially by St Austell Brewery. Our kitchen serves up proper British pub food—think hand-crafted specialty pies with buttery mash and our famous beer-battered fish and chips. We update our menu seasonally, but the classics always remain.
