About The Swan Hammersmith
Step through The Swan's heavy wooden doors at 46 Hammersmith Broadway and you'll understand why this Grade II listed pub has been bringing people together since 1901. We're proud that our Jacobean-style building, designed by Frederick Miller, has inspired everyone from William Morris to Gustav Holst over the years. Our function room upstairs makes the perfect party space for up to 100 guests standing or 60 seated. The original wood paneling and patterned ceilings create an atmosphere you won't find in modern venues, while our ornate double staircase makes quite an entrance for your guests. We've equipped the space with everything you need - there's a stage for speeches or entertainment, a projector for presentations or photo slideshows, and a microphone system that actually works properly. When it comes to food and drink, we keep things classically British. Our kitchen serves up hand-crafted pies that guests regularly tell us are the best they've had, alongside seasonal dishes that change with what's fresh. Behind the bar, we pour proper cask ales, maintain an extensive gin collection that's become something of a local legend, and stock wines we've carefully chosen to complement our menu. For parties, we can arrange buffet spreads or full three-course meals depending on what works for your celebration. The building itself tells stories - from its days as a coaching inn to the artists and writers who found inspiration within these walls. During matches, we show live sports downstairs, but your private function room remains your own space, separate from the main pub bustle. Just a short walk from Hammersmith Underground Station, we're easy for everyone to reach, whether they're coming from across London or just around the corner.
