About The Trocadero
The Trocadero stands proudly on Temple Street, its Grade II-listed walls housing over a century of Birmingham memories. We're particularly fond of showing guests the original stained-glass window that marks where the firemen's pole once stood - back when this building served as the city's fire station before becoming The Bodega wine bar in 1883 and finally The Trocadero in 1912. Our space works brilliantly for parties and celebrations, with room for 125 seated guests or 200 standing. The exposed brickwork and vintage features create an atmosphere that feels both historic and lively - perfect when you want something more interesting than a standard function room. We've hosted everything from milestone birthdays to corporate parties, and the layout adapts well to different group sizes. The bar serves locally brewed ales alongside our full drinks menu, and our kitchen turns out proper British food that goes down well at any gathering. During Happy Hour (Monday to Friday, 5pm-8pm), we offer discounted beers, spirits, cocktails and wines - always popular for early evening parties. For sports fans, we have Sky Sports on multiple screens, which adds energy to the room during big matches. Our party packages include pre-ordered drinks and reserved seating, taking the stress out of organizing your event. The garden area provides extra space when weather permits, and we keep free Wi-Fi running throughout the building. Quiz nights and live music happen regularly, so you might catch some entertainment during your visit. Henry Skinner, our resident ghost and most talked-about regular, supposedly makes occasional appearances - though we can't guarantee he'll show up for your party. Just a short walk from New Street Station, we're easy for everyone to reach, making The Trocadero a practical choice for bringing people together in Birmingham's city centre.
