The function room at The Wayfarer fills up fast on Friday nights, and once you see the space, you'll understand why. We've created something special here on Swan Street, right where the Northern Quarter meets Ancoats – a proper Manchester pub with a modern twist that knows how to throw a party. Our private function room upstairs holds up to 80 people, and we've thought through every detail to make your event work brilliantly. The room comes with its own fully stocked bar, so your guests won't miss a beat of the party waiting for drinks. We can set up our house DJ to keep the dance floor moving, or if you've got your own playlist in mind, we'll connect your music and let you control the vibe. Downstairs, the main pub buzzes with energy – you'll find locals mixing with party-goers over pints, wines, and proper cocktails. We make all the classics: Margaritas that pack a punch, perfectly balanced Negronis, and Old Fashioneds done right. Between 6 and 9pm daily, we run happy hour with 2-for-1 cocktails, Castelnau Champagne at £5 a glass, and house pints for £4.50. Beyond private parties, we keep things interesting with live music nights, DJs spinning until late, and our monthly quiz that gets properly competitive (there are prizes worth winning).
