About Watermen's Hall
Step through the heavy oak doors of Watermen's Hall and you'll find yourself in the only original Georgian hall remaining in the City of London. We've been welcoming guests since 1780, and our building tells that story through every wooden panel and historical painting on our walls. Our Freemen's Room serves as the heart of the building for larger gatherings. With space for 100 standing guests or 80 seated, we regularly host everything from corporate conferences to wedding receptions here. The high ceilings and tall windows create an atmosphere that works equally well for a morning presentation or an evening celebration. Our audio-visual equipment is already in place, so your tech setup is straightforward. For board meetings and private dinners, we recommend our Court Room. The space comfortably seats 37 people around our polished tables, and the room's proportions make conversation flow naturally. Many companies book this room for quarterly meetings, while others use it for special occasion dinners. Our smallest space, the Parlour Room, has become a favorite for intimate gatherings. The stained-glass window casts colored light across the gold leaf ceiling details - it's quite something when the afternoon sun hits it just right. Twenty people can mingle comfortably here for drinks receptions or small networking events. We handle all catering in-house, working with you to create menus that suit your event. Whether you need working lunches for a strategy session or a three-course dinner for a celebration, our kitchen team has you covered. Wi-Fi runs throughout the building, and we're happy to arrange the rooms to match your specific needs - classroom style, cabaret, theatre, or banquet layout.
