About Wolfson Medical School Building
The Wolfson Medical School Building offers three distinct seminar rooms perfect for your next meeting or training session. We're part of the University of Glasgow campus on University Avenue, where our modern glass building with its triangular atrium has become a landmark for medical education and professional gatherings. Our largest space, the Yudowitz Room, accommodates 78 people in theatre-style seating and works brilliantly for presentations and lectures. The Gannochy Room provides flexibility with moveable seats for 40 participants – we often see teams reconfigure this space to suit their specific workshop needs. For more intimate sessions, the Hugh Fraser Room welcomes 45 people in classroom style, creating an environment where interaction flows naturally. Every room comes equipped with projector, screen, and PA system, so you can focus on your content rather than technical setup. We've hosted everything from medical symposiums to corporate training days, and our facilities adapt to each group's requirements. What sets us apart is our triangular glass atrium – when you book any seminar room, this bright space becomes available for your coffee breaks, networking sessions, or even exhibitions. Many groups use it for welcome receptions before their main event. Our café operates right in the atrium, making refreshment logistics straightforward. The Walton Foundation Library forms part of our building complex, and while it's primarily for medical students with 24/7 access, it adds to the academic atmosphere that many professional groups appreciate.
