We've recently expanded our Soane Hall to accommodate 350 guests for seated dinners, making this one of London's largest event spaces available for private hire. The entire One Marylebone venue offers you exclusive use of our Grade I-listed former church, where Sir John Soane's 1826 architecture creates an extraordinary backdrop for celebrations of every kind. Your guests enter through towering doors into our main hall, where triple-height ceilings soar above and original stained glass windows cast brilliant patterns of colored light across the space. The Georgian arches and intricate mosaics overhead have witnessed everything from glittering Christmas parties to charity galas, corporate celebrations to engagement parties. With capacity for 350 seated or 800 standing guests, we configure the space exactly as you envision, whether that's round tables for an elegant banquet or long tables creating a more intimate feel. The Galleries upstairs provide a natural flow for your event, bathed in daylight through double-height windows. Many clients use this space, which seats 100 comfortably, for welcome drinks before leading guests downstairs for dinner. The original church acoustics mean every word of speeches carries perfectly, while our customizable lighting transforms from soft romantic tones during dinner to vibrant colors when dancing begins. Our West Garden becomes particularly magical during summer months, where guests spill outside for cocktails or simply a moment of fresh air while remaining part of the celebration. The landscaped grounds and Victorian greenhouses create beautiful photo opportunities and additional reception space. Great Portland Street station sits just moments away on our Marylebone island location, offering your guests easy access while feeling wonderfully removed from the city bustle.
