Our brick courtyard tells its own story, ringed by the same walls that sheltered munitions workers over two centuries ago. The Workers' Yard opens up as a generous outdoor space where we host everything from summer festivals to corporate celebrations, with room for 1,000 guests standing or 550 seated for dinner beneath the open sky. When the weather warms from June through September, we roll out something special. A shipping container bar appears in the corner, serving rum cocktails and cold draught beer. We scatter the courtyard with deck chairs and straw parasols, spreading sand to create our own riverside beach. Groups gather here after conferences, wedding parties spill out for evening drinks, and festival-goers dance on the cobbles as the sun sets over Greenwich. The yard connects directly to our Workers' Bar and Fireworks Factory through wide doorways, so your event can flow naturally between inside and out. We've installed modern PA systems throughout the space, ensuring music and speeches carry clearly whether guests are by the bar or exploring the furthest corners of the courtyard. The Grade II listed buildings that frame the yard create natural acoustics and shelter, while still leaving the space open to London's skyline. Corporate teams use the courtyard for product launches that need room to breathe, while party planners love how the historic brickwork photographs at golden hour. Just minutes from Woolwich Arsenal station, with the Elizabeth line, DLR and river pier all close by, getting here takes no time at all. London City Airport sits nearby for any international guests. Our courtyard works hardest in summer, but even on cooler evenings, the sheltered corners and outdoor heating extend the possibilities for memorable gatherings under the stars.
