About Woolwich Works
The brick walls of our former munitions factory tell stories from 1805, when workers here crafted artillery shells for the British Empire. Today at Woolwich Works, we've transformed these Grade II and II* listed buildings into spaces where conferences, celebrations, and creative gatherings come to life against the backdrop of the Thames. Our largest space, the Fireworks Factory, holds up to 1,800 people standing beneath soaring ceilings and industrial beams. For smaller meetings and parties, the Knight Gallery offers a more intimate setting with original architectural features that spark conversation. We've kept the exposed brickwork and cast-iron columns while installing modern sound systems and lighting that work for everything from corporate presentations to wedding receptions. Seven distinct areas flow throughout our riverside complex, each with its own character. Meeting planners appreciate how our spaces open onto outdoor terraces where delegates can network with river views during breaks. Party hosts love combining our indoor halls with the courtyard for cocktail receptions that spill outside on warm evenings. Our team handles the technical details while you focus on your guests. We provide full AV support, flexible furniture arrangements, and connections to trusted caterers who know our kitchens well. The Visitors' Book Café serves coffee and meals throughout the day, transitioning to cocktails when evening events begin. Getting here couldn't be simpler. Woolwich Arsenal station sits just minutes away, with the Elizabeth line, DLR, and river pier all nearby. London City Airport is a quick journey for international delegates.
