This particular space has always been a favourite among our guests who appreciate the gentle warmth of wood paneling paired with artwork we've carefully selected over the years. The room comfortably seats 14 for seated dinners, though we often reconfigure the space for cocktail receptions hosting up to 18 guests. That original fireplace anchoring one wall has witnessed countless toasts and intimate conversations, while the heavy curtains frame windows overlooking our quiet street between St James's and Mayfair. When drawn back, natural light transforms the soft, muted tones of the walls into something altogether more luminous. We take particular pride in how we dress this table, whether for birthday celebrations, engagement parties, or family reunions. Fine china catches the light from our carefully positioned lamps, while crystal glasses await the evening's first pour. The plush chairs invite long conversations, and more than once we've discreetly refreshed coffee as discussions stretched well past midnight. The beauty of The Argyll Room lies in its adaptability. We've hosted everything from surprise anniversary dinners to book launches here, each time adjusting the layout to suit. For theatrical presentations, we can accommodate 14 guests, while cabaret-style seating works beautifully for 6 when live entertainment takes centre stage. Getting here couldn't be simpler, with Piccadilly's transport links just five minutes away and the peaceful gardens of Buckingham Palace equally close. Our concierge team regularly arranges taxis for guests heading to West End shows after their celebrations, and we're always happy to store coats and gifts until needed.
