Our Favela Terrace brings a slice of Rio's street art scene to Hackney Wick's canals. The corrugated metal walls covered in vibrant murals catch your eye first, then you notice how the whole space feels like an artist's hideaway tucked between our warehouse and the River Lea. We built this terrace to capture that spontaneous street party feeling. The rustic wooden table with bench seating runs down the middle, where we've watched groups of friends share platters of food while narrowboats drift past. Above your head, fairy lights weave through trailing plants and a canopy of greenery, creating this intimate glow once evening arrives. The potted plants scattered throughout soften the industrial edges, making the space feel like you've stumbled upon someone's secret garden. The terrace works brilliantly for drinks receptions and casual celebrations. We can fit 60 people standing comfortably, though most groups end up naturally flowing between the benches and the standing areas near the canal railings. The water views become quite magical at sunset, when the light bounces off the river and the city noise fades into background hum. Our team handles table service throughout your event, so nobody misses out on the atmosphere by queuing at the bar. The semi-private setup means your group has their own defined space while still feeling connected to the creative energy of the area. Being just two minutes from Hackney Wick station helps too, your guests can easily find us then feel transported somewhere completely unexpected. The terrace transforms beautifully for different occasions. Corporate teams use it for relaxed networking sessions, birthday parties spill out here from our indoor studios, and we've hosted everything from product launches to poetry readings against this colourful backdrop.
